Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #14

You know what is so amazing? We get to keep learning how to
improve ourselves. Each day brings a new opportunity for us to
practice unconditional love, especially of ourselves. Loving
your body is demonstrating unconditional love. Think what your
body does for you each day.

Right now, say: I love my body, I love my body, I love my body,
I love my body! Feels great, doesn’t it? Our bodies are
incredible gifts from God. If we’re experiencing resistance to
change, then we’re resisting God’s loving message. What are you
resisting?

I was on a teleseminar recently and the topic was visualization.
The message was very powerful. Let me share with you what I
learned.

Take out a piece of paper and a pen or pencil. Write down 5
things that you desire in your life. It can be a car—mine is a
red BMW convertible and I have a picture of it on my dream board
and look at it everyday while I say affirmations in my energy
circle. Of course, in my visualization the real George Clooney
is in the passenger seat, not my cardboard cutout of George that
a friend gave me.

Maybe you want a new house, a trip to Hawaii, thousands of
dollars, a new outfit as you achieve your ideal weight. Whatever
it is, write down 5 things.

Say the statements out loud, shout them and do the visualization
hiney dance to them. I do love shaking it. I read a cute quote
the other day….what if the hokey pokey is what it’s all about?
Interesting thought, huh?

You know what? I took a break from writing, went for a walk and
just came back. While I was on my walk, guess what I saw? A red
BMW convertible!! Now, is that synchronicity or what? You know
what I should have done? Jumped out in front of that car and
made the driver get out and give me her car. Ooooppps…wrong
vibration. The focus is higher vibration and manifesting it
through Divine means. See the difference in vibration levels.

I will manifest that car. I don’t know how it will come; I just
know it will. I only know why I desire it. I like the feeling
that it conjures up….the feeling of freedom, sex appeal,
youthfulness, being a hottie!

We’ve all experienced times throughout the day where we have a
lull….where our energy is low or flat. What we want to do is to
keep that vibration high so we constantly are aligned with the
energy that we’re pulling to us. When we are in a low or flat
vibration, those things we desire can’t be propelled to us
because our thoughts are creating a disconnection. When our
thoughts are creating and saying, “Yes, I am attracting a red
BMW convertible” then we keep the energy lines open and that car
will reveal itself.

It’s like that phone commercial, “Can you hear me now?” When
we’re in low vibration, that which we want to attract cannot
hear us. Guess what shows up? Everything we don’t want. Now,
when we’re in high vibration, the reception is great and we get
heard loud and clear. All that we desire flows easily to us.

Let’s practice. We’ll name these the High 5. Get it? 5 things
that will manifest at a High vibration. I just made that up and
I believe it’s extremely clever. Read those statements and
dance, dance, dance!!

Now, you’re going to be carrying that list with you throughout
the day and take it out and do the routine of saying the
statements out loud with enthusiasm. Do this several times
throughout the day and notice how your energy will remain at a
high vibration. I encourage you to get carried away and shake,
shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake your booty while saying
them. Now say them over and over and really put some feeling
into it. I know you can do it!

I’ve had a practice of doing this type of visualization in the
morning and at night while reading those things that I am
manifesting in my life. I had noticed that I was experiencing
some lulls in my energy during the day, and was grateful to hear
this Divine message on how to sustain the high energy throughout
the day. I’ve been doing this a few days since I heard this on
the teleseminar and I’ve seen remarkable results. We were told
to make a commitment to ourselves and make it a goal for 30
days. I encourage you to do the same. For 30 days take time to
shout the High 5’s throughout the day. I look forward to hearing
about your results.

God is AWESOME! I am shouting that statement from my office
window right now. I just opened the window and shouted it so
everyone could hear. Oh, the birds just flew away. They’ll be
back….I have a bird feeder.

We’re on fire!! Nothing can stop us!!

High 5!

Have you ever gotten on the scale and, all of a sudden, you’re 20 pounds heavier than you remember? Are you finding it hard to fit into last summer’s bikini? Did someone just post a picture of you on Facebook that made you realize you’re getting a little chubby?Sometimes, weight gain can sneak up on you—it happens to the best of us. If you’re looking for quick weight loss without a ton of work, here are seven tips that are sure to get you back in the saddle.1. Eat less, move more. For many women, a sudden rise in the scales means that their dietary habits have changed. Maybe it was a little holiday binging during Christmas; or that weeklong vacation you spent relaxing on your couch watching television; or maybe you’re in a winter hibernating mode after having had an active summer. Chances are that if you cut back a little on the portions, cut back on desserts, and take a 30-minute walk around the block every day, you’ll see those pounds start to literally fall off of your body. 2. Choose a goal and focus on it.If you want to lose a quick 15 to 20 pounds, it doesn’t have to take a long time. Why not make it for a really good reason? Promise to treat yourself when you reach your goal—whether it’s a hot new outfit, a great pair of shoes, or even an exotic excursion to the Bahamas. This will help you to keep inspired in a positive way.3. Drink lots, and LOTS, of water.Sometimes, sudden weight gain occurs because of dehydration. Cut out the sodas, juices, smoothies, gourmet coffee treats, and drink 100 ounces of water per day. You’ll find that you not only feel great, but the weight is much easier to get rid of.4. It’s OK to snack—just snack healthy. It’s better to eat several small meals throughout the day than to starve yourself and binge at dinner time. The answer to this problem is easy. With a little bit of planning, you can keep healthy snacks around all day, and munch to your heart’s content—making it easier to eat less at meal times. Carrots, air-popped popcorn with no toppings, or some raw nuts are great snacks that you can enjoy all day long.5. Stop skipping breakfast!Nothing kills your metabolism worse than not eating breakfast. If you’ve been skipping the first meal of the day, your body has probably had a hard time processing the other meals, which means bad weight gain for you. Have an egg-white omelet, a piece of toast and juice, or a high-fiber, low-calorie cereal to start your day off right.6. Get more “natural” exercise. If you want to experience quick weight loss for a small amount, vary your daily routine a little by infusing cardio elements. Take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator. Park your car on the far end of the parking lot, and walk to the entranceWhen you get home, walk around the block a few times after dinner, or do some cardio exercises during the commercial break of your favorite television program. If you need to stop by the mall, take a walk around the entire building, not just to the store you need. The little things add up to lost pounds.7. Eat half… and then maybe half again.Eat half and save the rest for later. That may sound easy, but it is hard to do. Discipline is the key for this tip. If you’re at home, eat half of the portions that you’re use to eating, then take a walk for about 15 to 20 minutes. If you’re out to dinner with your boyfriend, ask for a doggy bag, and then enjoy the other half for lunch at work.

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #16

Today is the most wonderful day! We have gifts right in front
of us and we are ready to grab those gifts and say WAHOO! Look
around you at your extraordinary treasures.

For my 50th birthday, my nieces gave me a CD by Tim McGraw
entitled Live Like You Were Dying. They paid me a wonderful
compliment and said, “Aunt Tami, you’re the one we think of who
is living like you were dying.” What a powerful message to me as
I blast that song every morning to rev up my energy. Of course,
picturing Tim in those tight jeans helps!

Remember I used to live in such deep doo doo with fear and
worry. Through daily practice my connection to God becomes
clearer–it’s corrosion free. It takes practice to transcend
fear and putting those daily activities in place to help bring
in the positives. Want to have some fun with your inner child?
Sticking your tongue out at fear does help. So let’s practice.
Stick out your tongue and face your fears and shout, “You’re not
the boss of me.” It’s kind of hard to have your tongue hanging
out while talking but it sure feels good, doesn’t it?

I am reprinting some lines from the song so you can breathe in
the message.

Live Like You Were Dying

He said, “I was in my early forties, with a lot of life before
me, When a moment came that stopped me on a dime. And I spent
most of the next days looking at the x-rays And talking “bout
the options, talking “bout sweet time.”

And I asked him when it sank in That this might really be the
end. “How’s it hit you when you get that kind of news? Man
what’d you do?” He said,

“I went sky diving; I went rocky mountain climbing; I went two
point seven seconds on a bull named Fumanchu. And I loved
deeper, and I spoke sweeter. And I gave forgiveness I’d been
denying.” And he said, “Someday I hope you get the chance To
live like you were dying.”

He said, “I was finally the husband that most the time I wasn’t.
And I became a friend a friend would like to have. And all ‘a
sudden going fishin’ wasn’t such an imposition And I went three
times that year I lost my dad. And I finally read the good book
and I took a good long look

Powerful message, right? So what are you going to do? Tell a
friend you love him or her. Call a family member whom you
haven’t forgiven and forgive. Do something nice for your
neighbor. Ready to ride the bull? Just for today, “Live Like You
Were Dying!”

Weight Loss Secrets – Mind Over Matter

Katie,a 33-year-old mother of two, has been on her share of diets over the years. From Weight Watchers to the Zone to Sugar Busters, she feels as if she has tried them all. While she has had moderate success in losing weight from time to time, she has never found a long-term weight loss solution.
Her weight is a point of contention in her marriage; her husband – who also happens to be obese – wishes she were thin, but says he loves her anyway. The two have been separated a number of times, and even filed for divorce once. The stress has caused Katie to begin binge eating again.
There is hope for Katie and others like her who feel as if they’re trapped on the diet carousel. The key to long-term weight loss success may not be the body, but the mind.Research indicates that those who have a positive outlook on life are more likely to lose weight and stay thin. But how can you have a positive outlook when you’ve been burned so many times before? Is it possible to wiggle your way to losing weight?
One technique that has been proven effective in sports training is something called visualization. For instance, a baseball player might visualize his bat connecting with a ball, leading to a homerun.A soccer player might visualize kicking the winning goal in a soccer match. And a golfer might visualize sinking the winning putt in the Masters Tournament.
The same technique can be used by dieters.Visualize yourself as thin.Picture yourself in that dress that is now two sizes too small.Imagine stepping onto the scale and being pleased with the result.Visualize yourself saying no to that piece of chocolate cake or that plate of Fettucini Alfredo. These mind exercises can help to spur you onto weight loss.
When people learn they are suffering from cancer, they are encouraged to imagine their cancer cells being destroyed by healthy cells. You can follow the same technique in order to lose weight. That means imagining your fat cells being destroyed by thin cells. Through such a method, you can think your way to a healthy weight.
In addition, it is critically important that you maintain a positive attitude.Be forgiving of yourself. If you veer off your diet plan, simply get back on course with your next meal.
Don’t spend precious time beating yourself up over your failures.Instead, celebrate your successes – in a non-fattening way.For instance, when you reach a milestone – say you’ve lost ten pounds reward yourself with a trip to an art museum or to your favorite coffee shop (but skip the cream and sugar).Marking milestones will give you a sense of accomplishment, a sense that you are triumphing over food.
Another helpful technique can be prayer or meditation. Some support groups even offer Bible-based weight loss programs that use scripture verses to help inspire.
Taking stock of your life and handing your weight loss problems over to a higher power can be cathartic and may give you a sense of peace about your weight difficulties. It has been said that a clear head leads to a healthy body.Try praying or meditating ten minutes at the start of your day.Chances are you will feel refreshed and ready to tackle the weight challenges that come your way.
Yet another technique you might consider is role playing.Grab your spouse or a friend and ask him or her to act out a situation in which you might be tempted to overeat. You’ll be forced to come up with strategies to fight temptation. This rehearsal could prove to be quite helpful when a real life diet dilemma comes your way. If role-playing works for job interviews,it should be beneficial for your weight as well.
Mind over matter is not just a clever saying. It can actually be the solution to your weight loss problems. By using your brain power, you can develop the techniques needed to make healthy food choices. When your mind and your body are both healthy, you have the best of both world.

Getting your weight down to the desired level is a daunting task, by itself. Once you have managed to do that, you are faced with an even greater challenge — keeping your weight constant, at the reduced level. Although, this is easier said than done, in this article, I will share four proven ways to help make the task much easier for you.
Dietary Habits:
To insure that you lost weight, you had to change your dietary habits. You cut out high calorie intake, and found out how to imbibe sufficient nutrition without adding unwanted pounds. Your first challenge is to make these new diet habits your permanent assets.
Don’t ever assume that having succeeded in losing weight once, you’ll be able to do it easily again, allowing you, therefore, to go back to binge eating. In fact, your body would have undergone chemical and metabolic changes, during the first weight-loss effort. These changes will make subsequent weight-loss harder to achieve.
Conditioned Thought Pattern:
Before you can achieve anything, whatsoever, you should be able to draw a mental picture of it. If you want to continue to maintain your reduced weight, after you have achieved it, you need to think intensely about what you need to do for it. Once you begin to think ‘thin’, the task of maintaining your weight-loss becomes that much simpler.
Consequently, your eating habits will become healthier, and you will stay slim and trim. Your resolve to stay thin needs constant reaffirmation. Meditation is also a helpful tool. Once you condition your thought pattern to assist you in your effort, you will no longer be tempted by all the high-calorie food around you that once caused your mouth to water.
Working Out:
Devise a regular exercise regimen, if you want to achieve any degree of success in maintaining your weight at a lower level. Select an exercise program that suits you best, from the many existing options. But, if you plan to do rigorous workouts, make sure you consult your doctor before you embark.
Motivation Group:
You can do with some moral support to help you with your weight-loss program. You can achieve this by confiding in your close friends or family members about your plan. Make sure the person you tell has a positive outlook, and will push you on, from time to time. Once you reveal your plan to anyone, your pride will be at stake, and that will work to motivate you.
Once you find a way that guarantees you the most fun, weight-loss can be a joyful process. For instance, you should choose the exercise you most like doing, rather than a program someone else used. The same rule should apply when you select a low-calorie diet. It should have ingredients that you really like, rather than something you might imbibe as though it were medicine.
Absorb my four secrets and make them part of your lifestyle, and you will find that managing weight-loss is no longer as hard as you once thought it would be.

Who else want to experience FAST weight loss right AFTER the holidays are over? If you are anything like most of our readers, the simple truth is that you are VERY unhappy about the direction your body has been going the last few months, and who could blame you? With financial stresses, job losses and even a national foreclosure epidemic at hand, many of us find a wee bit of solace in our favorite foods, right? I know I’ve been there…..and can remember the days of reaching into my cubby EVERY time some thing went wrong in MY life..:-)

Yes, it’s true….finding comfort in food can be as deadly as finding similar solace at the bottom of a bottle, or worse. And MORE lives in Western cultures are cut short due to obesity and weight related maladies than ANYTHING else put together.

And I DON’T want the same for you. Here is my 3 step program to start discovering the REAL you, and doing it before you do any more damage to your body, your mind or your spirit.

Step #1: Resolve To be The Very BEST Version of Yourself Possible

And yes, we can be GREAT people while overweight, or unhappy with our size. But you TRULY only awaken your complete potential when your body works in wondrous harmony with the FULL you. (no pun intended..:-) This includes a healthy body – and both spirit and science alike confirm this to be true for me.

Step #2: Picture it

See it. Smell it. TASTE it. Picture the “true you”, at your absolute best, 3 months….6 months, a year out, fit, fabulous and phenomenal. How much richer is your life? How do your neighbors, friends and family look at you differently? How do you walk, talk and even smile at others when you simply FEEL great about yourself? This was a transformational moment for me in my own journey, and the BIGGEST reason I finally got motivated to make it happen.

Step #3: Pick a Proven Program and Put it All Together

Simply STOP with the fad diets. The exotic herbs. The esoteric philosophies. Just PICK a program that’s PROVEN to work and get to it. Nothing predicts diet success BETTER than how quickly folks like us actually BEGIN the process of losing weight once we decide to, rather than spending a lifetime picking the “perfect” diet for us..:-) (it doesn’t exist – there are ONLY diets that work – and those that don’t!)
