There’s no denying it. It’s time for another hot summer. It is probably coming faster than the weight loss pictures you have been hoping to see in the mirror, right? The heat means shedding the sweaters, the jackets, and the baggy clothes, even if you haven’t shed the pounds you wanted.
Forget about how you look for a moment, you want to feel good or at least halfway decent when wearing your bikini or bathing suit. In trying to get your trimmed and toned physique, you have probably been doing it through the common methods of dieting, and sweating through rigorous workouts or other kinds of physical activity.
At this point, you would explore just about anything if it was a quick and easy way to burn fat and calories. But what if you could be even more successful going in the opposite direction? What if you could actually freeze your fat? That’s right, freeze your fat.
Well now you can. You know about liposuction. This is different. It is a new procedure called Cryolipolysis. This is a highly promising technique that is being looked at as a quick alternative to liposuction. A platelike device is used to actually cool fat cells in your body. Then, they are naturally broken down through Lipolysis.
Zeltiq is the device used in Cryolipolysis. It has been approved by the FDA for cooling skin during laser and other thermal treatments. But some doctors are using it off label with patients who have stubborn “love handles” or other pockets of fat. They have been looking for a way to shrink those fat pockets that seem to be unaffected by dieting and exercise.
Zeltiq takes advantage of advanced cooling rather than heat to target fat cells. One of the reasons for this is because cold doesn’t damage surrounding tissue like heat. By cooling the fat cells to a temperature right around freezing for long periods of time, it alerts the body to just get rid of them. It doesn’t need them and naturally absorbs them over a couple of months.
As most people know by now, any surgery comes with a certain degree of risk. But Cryolipolysis is a non-invasive technique that takes only about one hour and can be done without any serious risks.

Say it ain’t so! Is it really possible Megan Fox has been too transformed to make for healthy weight loss pictures? Could it be the 24-year old woman who’s regularly found atop the polls as “The Sexiest Woman Alive” might actually be too thin to look good on the big wide screen? Movie director Michael Bay reportedly thinks so.
The rumors have been flying over the sparks that were flying on the set of what was fully expected to be another blockbuster film, Transformers 3. The weight of Megan Fox (or really her lack of weight) is supposedly at the heart of the real-life drama that caused Fox to storm off the set. Conflicting reports say she either quit or was fired from the production of the film. Neither is part of a healthy diet for success.
Hollywood insiders have been rumbling this week that the 45-year old Bay had fired Megan Fox. But Fox’s spokesman has taken another position: “Megan Fox will not be starring in Transformers 3. It was her decision not to return.” In either case, such a battle would have been a YouTube sensation or could have filled movie theatres around the world were it caught on camera.
This is not the first time the actress has been criticized regarding her weight. One of Fox’s known quick fixes for weight loss is consuming neat vinegar. She has also previously discussed bouts with depression regarding her weight and overall appearance. Just last year she was quoted as saying: “I turned into a zombie. I lost like 30 pounds. I was telling myself I was method acting, which was not true. I ended up getting sick and my hair started falling out.” Just before the latest battle with Bay, Fox was quoted as telling a magazine, “I’ll starve to death before I’ll cook for myself. I think I could survive a week without eating.”
Details of the fight were that Michael Bay thought Fox looked so thin she appeared unhealthy. He wanted her to gain weight to once again perform in the role of Mikaela Banes. Reports from members of the production crew agreed that Megan Fox did not look healthy or anything like the sex symbol that starred in the first two Transformer movies.

Okay, the Skipper wasn’t skinny. But Gilligan sure was. Maybe it was the coconut oil on the island.
Coconut oil has had a bad reputation. It was deemed to be unhealthy by mostly everyone in positions of nutrition authority. Besides, if you were looking to create your own successful weight loss pictures, you would be quite foolish to take in foods with high levels of saturated fats, right?
But some experts in the integrative medicine community have known and believed in the benefits of coconut oil. Jonny Bowden, author, nutritionist and weight loss coach calls it one of the 150 Healthiest Foods on Earth. Here is why he makes that statement.
Coconut oil contains a particular type of fat called MCTs. They are medium-chain triglycerides. MCTs are different than other saturated fats and are metabolized in the body differently, too. For instance, MCTs are rarely stored as body fat. Your body actually prefers to use them for energy. And it does it in a healthier way than carbs.
The International Journal of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders has reported that the MCTs in coconut oil actually increased fat burning and burned calories in obese men and women. Additional good news is that it diminished levels of fat storage.
Some researchers reporting their findings in the Journal of Nutrition have given MCTs the label of being potential agents in the prevention of obesity. Findings like this are improving the tarnished reputation of coconut oil.
Coconut oil is high in calories like any fat is. However, it does contain some very healthy fatty acids. So, there is justification to consider it a good fat. How much should you use? Some suggest cooking with a tablespoon of coconut in every meal. There is certainly room to fit it into your weight loss program. An added benefit beyond the burning of fat and calories may be that coconut oil can help to reduce your hunger pangs.
With this renewed interest among researchers in the benefits of coconut oil, perhaps there will soon be a clinical study that looks at its impact specifically on weight loss.

Jason Alexander Baring it All
No matter what you think of Jason Alexander, there is less of him for you to love or hate. Why? Because he is losing weight. He’s the new star of some big time weight loss pictures.
The 50-year old actor is most famous for his role on Seinfeld. You couldn’t help but feel better about yourself as you watched the never ending saga of the chubby and challenged George Costanza. Do you remember the episode with the classic scene where George was actually eating out of a trash can as only he could do?
Now in real-life, Jason Alexander is putting his personal weight problems behind him as a pitch man for Jenny Craig. When Alexander signed on to join Valerie Bertinelli as an on-camera spokesperson for the popular weight loss chain, he was not looking very good at all. But that’s a good thing if you are in the business of creating successful before and after weight loss photos.
Standing just five-foot five inches tall, he tipped the scales around 200 pounds. Those statistics had him fit for the category of clinically obese. Now he’s reported to be down around the area of 170 pounds. That’s a pretty balanced weight loss in a period of just more than four months. It’s hard to call a short, overweight, 50-year old balding man a stud. So, let’s just say he is looking a whole lot better and healthier.
Perhaps his role as Jenny Craig’s new celebrity success story will help Jason Alexander as a human being and an actor. It puts him back in the public eye. And it’s much healthier for him than when he did television commercials for KFC and snack foods.
If you thought you couldn’t possibly love or hate Jason Alexander or George Costanza any more than you already did, hold on a minute. Check out his new Jenny Craig weight loss television commercial that has just started airing. How about Jason Alexander in snug as a bug spandex?
It’s kind of like the rubbernecking phenomenon at auto accidents. You may not want to look. You know you probably shouldn’t look. But it‘s just too hard to say no. Now isn’t that a familiar scenario with weight loss pictures?

You have just got to love the British tabloids. When it comes to weight loss they cover the subject like they are on a yo-yo diet themselves.
The latest example is Charlotte Church seen in many recent weight loss pictures like the one here. The 24-year old singer is rightfully known as having the “Voice of an Angel.” Proof of her popularity in the United Kingdom is that she was again near the top of the Rich List earning $11 million pounds last year.
Charlotte is currently one of the celebrity judges on the British television talent show, “Over the Rainbow.” The show is searching for the next Dorothy to star in the upcoming Andrew Lloyd Webber musical theatre production.
The Sun, one of the most popular British tabloids says Charlotte Church’s rapid weight loss is a major talking point among staffers connected with the show. Reports say she has dropped from a size 16 to a size 6. She was listed as a size 8 as recently as March. This weight loss comes after giving birth last year to her second child, Dexter.
The price of fame is costly to Church no matter how much she earns. Good or bad, her weight loss images are all over the U.K. As a result of a major weight gain, she was written about in the tabloids for being unhealthy. Now that she has lost a significant amount of weight, she is again the subject of health concern rumors. The question frequently being asked is, “Has Charlotte Church gone too far in her weight loss?”
Church is renowned for her yo-yo battle with her weight. Instead of denying the widespread rumors of her binge-eating habits that sparked her weight gain, Charlotte recently appeared on the BBC to confess the secret to her weight loss was eating less than she used to in the past. The weight loss pictures of her looking sexy in a black dress are everywhere. She told talk-show host Jonathan Ross, “I don’t think I’ve ever been this thin.”
Charlotte Church is engaged to Welsh rugby star, Gavin Henson. The couple has been together for nearly five years. They are reportedly planning to have a beach wedding ceremony in July. Church says she has a great guy who is not at all obsessed with her weight. If only she could say that about the tabloids.

Hollywood loves these kinds of stories. It is especially fond of them when they come out just before new movies are released. They offer free promotion for movie premieres. And ultimately they sell tickets. So, it would appear Sex and the City 2 seems to be in pretty good shape for its upcoming release. Here’s why.
The British tabloids are happy, too. They like to print stories about weight loss. Now they are again being fed another big, fat juicy one. Actually, they are feasting on the anticipation of Sex and the City 2. In particular, they are hungry to share all of the gossip they can get on Sarah Jessica Parker’s alleged “shocking” weight loss.
The News of the World reports that Sarah Jessica Parker is obsessed with exercise and is looking skeletal while out and about in New York City. They quote pals and insiders who say she now has an extreme exercise routine that includes an hour of pilates every day. It is said to be because she is so stressed out and desperate to stay in shape. These pals claim it is causing the formation of bulging veins in the arms and hands of the star actress and is wreaking havoc on her body. Thus, those who love her are concerned about her health.
Sarah Jessica Parker and her star actor husband Matthew Broderick have a 7-year old son, and also twin 10-month old daughters from a surrogate mother. She would have celebrated (or not celebrated) her 45th birthday on March 25. Age is to blame say the British tabloids. They are reporting Parker is now down to wearing a size zero and that her obsession with weight loss is based on being paranoid about getting old. They say she believes if she is able to stay thin, that she will be able to stay on top of that. Old Father Time will surely prove otherwise.
The star actress always seems to be fair game for the tabloids due to the popularity of the HBO series, Sex and the City. Then there are also all of the never-ending references to her looking like a horse in real-life. Currently, Sarah Jessica Parker is of renewed interest in Great Britain since she is now getting ready to promote Sex and the City 2 which opens in movie theatres there on May 28, 2010.
